We are STOKED to present our very first brewery collaboration with Penrose Brewing!
Our LABEL DAZE competition celebrates the creative juices from Penrose, Side Street, and all artists!
This competition is meant to inspire all of us to reach out, explore new things, and have fun.
Our first LABEL DAZE Theme is 'THE FUTURE'.
Every dollar from the sales of (INSERT BEER NAME HERE)
will go toward the buildout of our #futurehome at
62 S. Grove Ave. in Downtown Elgin.

Entrants must submit ORIGINAL label artwork.

Any artist 18 and over may apply.

All LABEL entries must be formatted in PNG and/or PDF files. (see above)
-
Submissions must be made no later than APRIL 30 @ midnight CST.

No late submissions will be accepted.

Artwork/Label must be for 16oz cans only. (i.e., no keg collars or case artwork.)
-
Labels or artwork applied for another competition may not be used.

Labels or artwork used for another project will not be accepted.

ORIGINAL ARTWORK ONLY.

NO A.I. ARTWORK WILL BE ACCEPTED.

Entry is $5 per entry.

You may enter as many label designs as you like.

Winning artwork will become the property of Side Street Studio Arts.
JUDGING
-
(May 1 - May 4) Early Judging:
-
Judges will evaluate all entries and determine 4 finalists for the People’s Choice Vote.

In the Early Judging portion of the competition, entries will be judged and selected based on the following four criteria:
-
Representation - does the design represent the "FUTURE" theme?
-
Creativity/Originality - does the design show innovation & originality?
-
Quality - is the design technically well executed?
-
Overall Impression - is the overall design composition clear and appealing
-
The six finalists will progress to the “People’s Choice Bracket Tournament”
-
(May 5 - May 12) People’s Choice Vote:
-
In the People's Choice Vote, 4 label designs will compete in a no holds barred single elimination round via our Instagram and Facebook pages. Voting will be conducted using the “poll” function enabled on those social media platforms.

Winners will be decided by popular vote - the label receiving the most votes via the poll function will be deemed the winner of the competition.

PRIZE PACKAGES:

1st Place receives $100 cash prize, 2nd Place $75, and 3rd Place $50.
