What You Help Us Accomplish
Donations ensure we are able to continue our current endeavors, pay artists, and grow our year-round offerings.
In 2024 alone SSSA saw over 17,000 people join us, as we hosted or produced:

148 free or low-cost off-site arts education events – reaching over 4500 young artists

366 free or low-cost, on-site arts education events – reaching over 1000 artists
-
20 visual art exhibitions – featuring over 300 artists
-
56 area artists displayed work in MADE
-
Over 55 on and off-site professional development opportunities for SSSA staff and area artists
-
175 performance events – reaching over 4000 audience members
-
300+ hours of donated and discounted space for creative events for area organizations, artists, and individuals

Paid out over $40,000 to area visual and performing artists through the Gallery, MADE, and numerous additional professional opportunities

7 Artists-in-Residence, including Going Dutch artists, supported, in part by the Elgin Cultural Arts Commission
