The Side Street Studio Arts LAB is a shared artist workspace designed to support the artistic process through the housing of equipment, storage, and proximity to exhibition resources. The LAB allows artists the space, time, and resources to create.

 

We are very excited to announce new classes, workshops, open nights, and more art-making! Be sure to check out our special LAB Membership discounts and classes!

  • Annual Membership $1000

    • Good for all levels of artists' needs.

    • 24-hour keyed access.

    • Storage for your work and tools.

    • Use of equipment on your own time.

    • You may sign up for preferred hours to get a guaranteed time for space/equipment use.  

    • Automatic Artist/Individual Membership ($50.00 value) to SSSA.

    • Reduced rates for additional rental time at all SSSA spaces.

    • Reduced rates for artists to host workshops/events at the LAB. 

    • Key deposit and security deposit due at the time that contract is completed.

    • Exemption from most artist submission fees.

  • LAB Individual Rental:

    • $25 per hour w/minimum two hour rental.

    • $40 per hour for Art Partners: two individuals working on a project together, w/minimum two hour rental.

    • $25 Supply Fee added as needed

    • Access to all LAB equipment*, no specific project supplies, i.e. inks, paints, print paper.

    • Good for short notice artists and smaller projects

    • Includes supervised use of equipment

    • must be scheduled during LAB open hours, or by appointment.  

    • No storage.

    • No splitting or sharing of hours for Individual rental.
