"Aroma of Home portrays a staple found in Southeast Asian cooking - Fish Sauce. The visual image of a fish sauce bottle may cause curiosity or squeamish reactions to non-Asians. As a young adult and second generation Asian-American, I experienced great identity issues attending a pre-dominantly white institution. The depiction of fish sauce and other essential ingredients is a symbolic and nostalgic reminder of home."
