Artist in Residence
Nicole Prokop is an interdisciplinary artist with artwork consisting mainly of fiber art, acrylic painting, and furniture restoration. She was born in Chicago, IL and currently resides in the creative hub of downtown Elgin, IL. She began her art career when studying at Nicholas Senn High School’s Visual Arts program. Afterwards she attained an A.S. in Biology in the summer of 2020. Due to Covid she decided to postpone the pursuit of her bachelor’s degree. During this period, she began questioning her previously science centered career path and took interest in pursuing a future in art. Currently she continues to grow her collection of artworks, constantly experimenting with different mediums. When not creating artwork Nicole enjoys playing with her cat Nala, practicing yoga and meditation, running, biking, and spending time with her loved ones.
