Side Street Studio Arts announces Monochrome: PURPLE for February 2024!

Monochrome describes paintings, drawings, sculptures, designs, or photographs in one color or values of one color. The February birthstone is amethyst, a violet-to-purple variety of quartz. Purple is the color of royalty, but it can also be a descriptor, a mood perhaps, but absolutely a prompt for your imagination. 

 

• Submission fee- $5 per piece

• Deadline for submission is Sunday, January 14, 2024 @ midnight

• Opening Reception will be held Friday, February 2nd from 6-9 pm

• Artwork Drop Off is Sunday, January 28, 11 am-3 pm

• This exhibition is open to the public Friday, February 2nd - Sunday, February 25th

Submission Requirements:

• Submissions must be received by Sunday, January 14, 2024 @ midnight - late submissions will NOT be accepted.

• All artists and all mediums will be considered including 2d/3d visual, video/time-based works, so long as the work adheres to the theme Monochrome: PURPLE.

• Large works considered - if it fits through our door it can be shown! For specific questions regarding size, please inquire before submitting.

Works will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis. We will accept work that fits the exhibition theme until the walls are full. Artists will be notified of their acceptance by email. 

SSSA takes no commission on art sales!
