Going Dutch Visual Art Opening Reception

Kick off the festival with an evening of visual art and live performance featuring The Heap's ARIA!, a durational work that unfolds throughout the evening. Guests are welcome to come and go as they experience the work. The visual arts exhibition will be up through November 28.

Featured visual artists include Abby King, Anna Lentz, Elizabeth Curtis Winters, Nicki Fortunati Warren, Luiza Moraes, Sugey Mondragon, Sarah Rieser, Jess Rocha, and Susan Trestrail.

The Heap is a new performance project conceived by the artist Gigi Moreau (formerly known as Ramona Rotten). Artist statement: We are interested in performance as an ecological process and as a perpetual state of becoming. Throwing everything that was onto compost heap to discover through decomposition and decay what is and what can be. We want to know what happens when things fall apart.
