*Our 1st Floor GALLERY is perfect for small group gatherings and can house approximately 70 guests.
Side Street Studio Arts is a one-of-a-kind venue in downtown Elgin, home to Side Street’s arts education programs, and serves the community as a gallery, performance, and event space.
We currently have our Gallery, Theater, and Backspace available for rent.
SSSA Gallery may accommodate up to approximately 70 guests. SSSA Theater may host up to 90 guests. Backspace may host up to 45 guests. Both Theater and Backspace includes a full kitchen, lobby, and a Green Room. Both are on the second floor and are not wheelchair accessible.
All set up, event management, and clean up are the responsibility of the renter.

Weekend Rates: Friday-Sunday
1st Floor Gallery:
$75.00 per hour w/minimum 4 hour rental.
$55 per hour for registered 501(c)3 organizations or SSSA Members.
2nd Floor Theater:
$65.00 per hour w/minimum 2 hour rental.
$45 per hour for registered 501(c)3 organizations or SSSA Members.
Weekday Rates: Monday - Thursday
1st Floor Gallery:
$65.00 per hour w/minimum 2 hour rental.
$45 per hour for registered 501(c)3 organizations or SSSA Members.
2nd Floor Theater:
$55.00 per hour w/minimum two hour rental.
$35 per hour for registered 501(c)3 organizations or SSSA Members.

A dance teacher will lead a basic dance class culminating in a short performance (60 minutes). The class will be tailored to the ages of the children.

ART PARTY: KIDS! - On Site or At Home w/ S.A.M. (Side Street Art Mobile)

$275.00 (for a 10 child maximum) Ages 7-17

A professional art teacher will lead the group in a visual art activity. The activity will be tailored to the ages of the children. The children will take their creations home with them.

Live music may be provided at an additional cost.

ART PARTY: ADULTS! Ages 17 and up - On Site or At Home w/ S.A.M. (Side Street Art Mobile)

A professional art instructor will lead a basic art or craft class culminating in a project that can be taken with you that day.
